Situated on the edge of the Peak District in Redmires, Sheffield – this outdoorsy family of four’s garden takes inspiration from the local area. In the back garden to pay homage to the landscape the couple were married, in a Birch Woodland Peak district, a grouping of Birch trees underplanted with ferns and spring flowering bulbs are a central feature defined by curved planting beds. For the young ones to play, a water play station will pump recycle rainwater and drain down a gully down the garden to mimic rivers collecting water. The front garden includes a seating area to host clients outside the Workshop and an additional parking space has been added, where an electric car can be charged. The lawn is reinforced with a geogrid system which will carry the weight of the cars without affecting the growth of the grass or compacting the soil, a great solution for keeping a natural aesthetic and retaining as much greenery as possible and not ending up with a concrete jungle front garden.
